Maintaining the Township’s roads is a year-round operation. We may notice it most when the snow flies, but the work goes on during the other five months too. Crack-sealing, base repairs, resurfacing, ditching and drainage work, tree trimming, and berm mowing are all essential tasks that ensure our massive investment is protected, preserved, and kept in a condition that assures safe travel. In addition to maintaining roads, our crew assists in maintaining our Township buildings, parks, and cemeteries.

Road/Service
Munson currently maintains 47+ miles of Township roads, from the “through roads,” like Bean, Sherman, and Fowlers Mill, to the many cul-de-sacs. These roads represent the single greatest investment of our tax dollars; a real, tangible property purchase of millions of dollars of asphalt, paint, and signage.
Road Maintenance
The State of Ohio (ODOT) maintains State Routes 322 and 44, and Geauga County is responsible for Auburn, Bass Lake, Butternut, Mulberry, Thwing, and Wilson Mills roads. If you have a question about your road, contact the responsible government branch:
